Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice explains how KhataPK (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and application.

1. Information we collect

Account data: email address, name, business name, and authentication identifiers (via Supabase Auth).
Business records you enter: customer/supplier names, phones, addresses, notes, transaction amounts, dates, and related ledger data.
Billing data: handled by Paddle as merchant of record. We may receive subscription status, customer id, and plan information—not full card numbers.
Technical data: device/browser type, approximate location from IP, and basic usage logs needed to operate and secure the Service.

2. How we use information

To provide and maintain the ledger Service
To authenticate users and protect accounts
To process subscriptions and respond to support requests
To improve reliability and prevent abuse

3. Processors and third parties

Supabase — authentication and database hosting
Paddle — payments, invoices, tax, and subscription management
Hosting — e.g. Vercel for the web application

These providers process data under their own terms and security controls. We do not sell your personal information.

4. Data stored on your device

Some ledger data may also be stored in your browser (local storage) for speed and offline use. Clearing site data on your device will remove that local copy.

5. Retention

We retain account and ledger data while your account is active. After deletion or prolonged inactivity, we may delete or anonymize data within a reasonable period, except where law requires longer retention (e.g. billing records).

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit, access controls, provider security). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

7. Your choices

Update profile details in the app Settings
Export a JSON backup of local ledger data where available
Request account deletion by contacting support
Manage billing/email preferences via Paddle’s customer portal

8. Children

The Service is intended for business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.

9. International transfers

Your data may be processed in countries where our providers operate. By using the Service you acknowledge such transfers as needed to provide KhataPK.

10. Changes

We may update this Notice from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use means you accept the updated Notice.
